Quote and Job Data

When you create quotes, we collect the information you provide, including client names, contact details, job descriptions, line items, pricing, and approval status. Client-facing quote pages display the information you enter.

Payment Information

We store subscription and payment records (amounts and dates). Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store full credit card numbers.

Usage Data

We automatically collect basic usage data such as pages visited, browser type, and IP address to improve the service and diagnose issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the TradeQuote service, including quote creation, client approval tracking, and job management.
• To process subscription payments through our payment provider.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, quote notifications).
• To improve the service based on usage patterns.
• To enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these cases:

• Client quote pages: When you send a quote, the client sees your business name, the job description, line items, and pricing on a public quote page.
• Payment processing: We share necessary payment information with Stripe to process subscriptions.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or maintaining financial records).

Quote data and client contact information you entered are retained as long as your account is active. You may delete individual quotes at any time from your dashboard.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and secure database hosting. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your data (business info, quotes, client records).
